Frequently Asked Questions Show logistics
How much space do I need to do a drone show?
The drones need to be at least five feet apart before takeoff. So, for 100 drones, you would need at least 2500 square feet.
We also need to have ample space between the drones and the audience. Drones are not allowed to fly over people, so we recommend one foot of horizontal separation for every foot of altitude. So, if the drones fly to 400 feet, then the audience needs to be a minimum of 400 feet away from the takeoff space.
How many drones do I need per show?
Even though an impressive drone light show can be done with a mere 50 drones, we recommend at least 100 drones to make a truly memorable experience. Some designs and ideas will take hundreds of drones, while others may only take several dozen. We can work directly with you to determine what you need for your show.
